“Kurrende” is the German word for choir singers. Kurrende often appear in crafts from the Erzgebirge - especially in scenes with the iconic Seiffen church.

Pyramids are a traditional craft from the Erzgebirge region of Germany - the same region where nutcrackers and smokers come from. The concept is simple: The rising heat from lit candles pushes paddles suspended above. As these paddles spin, so too do attached platforms, often with figures or small scenes on them.
