Last year, Lynn Haney announced his retirement after 30 years of producing beautiful handmade Santas in his Lubbock, Texas studio. As he moves into his “Santa Sabbatical,” as he called it, we say goodbye to the last of his beautiful work.

We still love all that we’ve always loved about Lynn Haney’s Santas: they evoke old European crafting, while remaining for three decades a true American handcraft. They exemplify an attention to detail in design and production that only a few companies have ever achieved. But, perhaps most of all, we have always appreciated Mr. Haney, himself. His company grew out of a true connection to his artistry, his love of Christmas, and memories of his childhood. He puts his heart and soul into his work; on the occasions we’ve had the opportunity to meet him, he has always felt a little bit like Santa Claus.

Though we are sad that we will no longer be able to sell Lynn Haney Santas, we take joy in the fact that they have made their way into so many of our customers’ homes, and that they will continue to bring a bit of Christmas magic to so many families for generations to come.
